My cycling story...

I was relatively late to the cycling party, buying my first proper road bike in 2012. Coming from running, I could now travel further, faster and all without associated calf and Achilles injuries. After I'd exhausted local sportives I moved onto Wales, Wessex and the alpine passes - having ridden the Dragon Ride 5 times, Tour of Wessex 4 times, Marmotte 3 times and l'Etape once. As competitiveness struck, I moved into road racing, cyclocross and, more recently, TTs with Verulam Really Moving.com. Life's better blurred.

About my role...

1. To manage and coordinate all club time-trial activities including VCC Open 25 TT and VCC Seabird points events - Evening 10s, Morning 10s and Hardriders.
2. To promote and assist with TT events both within the club and beyond.
3. Helping and encouraging new riders to pin on a number and join in.

More about me...

Happiest when recovering with a coffee and cake(s) after throttling myself during a ride/race. Or being part of a smooth-flowing, fast chain-gang; timing changes of pace to perfection and loving the camaraderie. Currently own too many bikes which I paid more for than I told my wife.
