A quick reminder:
- This is not a Sportive, so no signage and no feed stations, instead a self-supported ride, a pure test of your endurance and self-sufficiency, but a unique way to enjoy the beauty of The Chilterns.
- This is a tough challenge expected to appeal to regular and experienced club riders.
- Choice of four routes, two Road two Gravel.
- Routes will be supplied as downloadable GPS (GPX) files to all who register.
- Riders will be set off in groups of up to 10 riders after a short briefing, following registering at the VCC Gazebo on the Redbourn Common.
- Riders can depart anytime between 8am and 10am, using the roads around the common, which will be closed after 10am for the Redbourn Crits road races taking place at the Fete du Velo.
- Returning riders will finish at a marked finishing line (with VCC flags on either side of the road) on West Common, a little before the junction with East Common, which is after the Cricket Club entrance on the left, and before The Cricketers PH.
- Both routes finish in Redbourn allowing all riders to enjoy the Fete du Velo, taking place the same day and not least to use their £5 refreshment voucher (included in entry fee) with one of the food or drinks vendors on the common.
- There is a 7hr overall time cut-off for the event.
- All participants will receive a Chiltern 100 medal at the finish.
- Entry fee includes £2 donation to Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.
