HILL CLIMB
Sunday 27th October 2024
Event Time: 10.00 – 11.00
Location: The start is at the gate on Little Almshoe Road, the route then climbs to a reservoir near to Princess Helena College, Preston. 1km, 38m (118ft) climb, gradient peaks at approx. 8%, after a flat start.
This event is registered with the CTT and we will follow their advice. NOTE: front and rear lights are a requirement.
The format includes club trophies for the first man, woman, girl and boy over the line, as well as recognition for the fastest times for each club run pace group. Notes on how we plan to run the event are as follows:
- Approach the start via the turn off after the Rusty Gun
- No push off
- Results will be published on line
Basically it's a max effort climb, but don't go too deep too soon! Worth picking the correct gear and warming up first.
