SPRING CLASSICS (Reliability Rides)

What is a Reliability Ride?

Reliability rides provide late winter (Jan-Mar) training rides where the object is to build base fitness in preparation for the more demanding riding that will follow when the weather improves. In today’s world of Sportives they are enjoyed by more than just competitive cyclists. Riders are self-supporting, routes are not signed and there are no organised stops on route. The rides are not races, they're typically tough challenges and involve riding on the open roads.

Traditionally, these events were held over 100 miles. Riders were required to state a completion time and to arrive at the check points and back at the HQ at their stated time. Failure resulted in no certificate. Today these rides are a less testing 100km and the time challenge is no longer strictly imposed. Medals are replaced by simple pride, recognition from your peers and some well earned refreshments!

Sign up now! Most have limited places (max 200) and often sell out before the day. Some may have entries on the day, but no guarantee.
